Sometimes little boys need to dig and get dirty. Yesterday was warm (much warmer than Michigan where it's still snowing) so Tom and I prepared their small garden spot in the back yard where they'll plant a few veggies when the season is dependable. Later after his nap, Matt came outside and I was showing him how to dig for earthworms and how they wiggle in the dirt. There are lots of earthworms in the garden plot making for a rich and naturally cultivated garden. Matt got his bucket and decided to practice digging. This is an old neighborhood so possibly he could be digging up some relics of previous generations who had lived in the house. Of course Matt got pretty dirty but before too long we went inside and he had a bath. Little boys need to dig!
