Breakfast

Zucchini season

We have fresh zucchini in the garden so we are enjoying them every day in all kinds of recipes. Today it is a side dish of zucchini with dinner as well as zucchini bread. Scarlett delivered some extra zucchinis to our neighbors as we have too many to finish ourselves.

Scarlett sings "the World is a Rainbow"

Scarlett made this video using the ipad while riding in the car. She loves to sing!

Mackinaw Island

Today we hiked the 8 mile circumference of Mackinaw Island. It was a beautiful day for a long walk, sometimes requiring a light jacket because of the lake winds. Tonight we're tired but looking forward to a whitefish dinner.

Zoo Trip

The school year is coming to an end so yesterday Scarlett's first grade class had a field trip to the zoo. Grandma went along as a chaperone! Everyone had a good time and Grandma had a nap after arriving home!

Skating Party

Scarlett's school had a skating party as one of their end of the year activities.
